Lately, I’ve been feeling a call of the unknown, a silent call that invites me to dwell into deep mysteries and magic – my own and of the whole we live in. It comes to me as an ancient, undefined call – from past, from above/below, from within. To some extent it’s a little bit shadowy and frightening. Yet, at the same time, it is also pleasurable, welcoming and comforting. The unknown is always scary because our rational side loves to understand/explain all things. But in truth, there is so much more than we actually realize, and so little that we really comprehend. We are only aware of the tip of the iceberg.
I love these periods when the unknown calls out to me. I notice it more often when the moon is waning (up to the dark moon), a phase characterized by receptive energies and associated with reflection. The moon herself is so mysterious, holding a side that we never see – the so-called “dark side of the moon”. The unknown is beautiful, as beautiful as the night. The day has shinning beauty, but the night holds a mysterious enchantment/glamour, which is silently full of wisdom and greatness. The unknown has depth and content. It’s invisible to the eyes, yet meaningful to the soul. Contrary to a black hole that is full of “nothingness”, the unknown embodies the secrets of the Universe/Whole/All.
Answering the call of the unknown is to be a receptacle for Higher revelations/possibilities. It’s time to be open to accept the mysteries out there, as much as our own, and to “listen” with the soul, allowing what comes to settle within. Whether we rationally comprehend it or not, the intangible reaches somehow the depths of our being. Eventually, the seeds will grow into something touchable/visible/knowable. I believe the Universe/Divine is trying to express/create something through us. We “get” what is “needed” here and now, for our highest good and highest good of all, according to the original Divine plans of the Universe. The unknown triggers in me a feeling of trust and of surrender to something Higher than me that, at the same time, is also within. In these moments, however, it is wise to be aware that some mysteries are meant to remain so – that’s one the greatest wonders of our world!
